This lovely vintage Mashhad fragment rug from Persia features an elegant, elongated design set against a rich raspberry-red background, softened by age. A graceful arrangement of floral medallions, bouquets, and stylised blossoms runs along the centre, establishing a harmonious rhythm throughout. Delicate floral motifs in muted gold, dusty pink, soft blue, olive, and deep navy adorn the inner edges, while a dark border of large flowering vines frames the piece. Hand-knotted in wool, it has a gently worn pile and mellowed colours that create a charming, timeworn patina, highlighting the refined floral style typical of Mashhad weaving. Its long, narrow shape and elegant colour palette make it an ideal accent for hallways, entrances, or other elongated spaces.
