This vintage Navajo Yei kilim showcases the sacred artistry of the Diné (Navajo) weaving tradition. Handwoven in wool, the textile features three Yei figurines, spiritual deities or Holy People, rendered in a stylised geometric form. Each figure is depicted with an upright posture, holding prayer sticks or arrows, symbolising blessings, protection, and harmony.

The design is woven in a warm natural palette of earthy browns, rust, ochre, and deep black against an ivory ground, framed by patterned borders that echo traditional Navajo aesthetics. The flatweave construction gives the piece a versatile usewhether as a floor covering, wall hanging, or collectable textile.

Navajo Yei rugs are highly valued for their symbolic depth, with each figure embodying a bridge between the physical and spiritual worlds. This example captures both the cultural richness and the timeless artistry of Native American weaving, making it not only a decorative piece but also a meaningful work of heritage.

Authentic vintage and antique Native American kilims are handwoven with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects.

Our kilims are professionally cleaned.
