This vintage Scandinavian Rya rug is a stunning wool textile featuring an abstract, geometric design in a muted, earthy colour palette. The vintage carpet was masterfully hand-crafted with the finest wool, following traditional and refined weaving techniques, and reached the Middle Ages.

Its style, Rya, was developed centuries ago in Scandinavia to protect the people, especially the mariners living off the sea, from severe weather conditions.

Despite its historical heritage, the antique bears an exceptionally modern design settled in the aesthetic standards of the 50s.
