This captivating vintage Baloch rug is a beautiful expression of traditional tribal weaving, distinguished by its earthy palette and bold, highly stylised geometric composition. The warm brown field is filled with rows of striking angular motifs resembling stylised leaves, flowers, or tribal tree forms, rendered in glowing rust, burnt orange, muted red, and dark brown.

The unusual compartmentalised arrangement gives the rug a wonderfully architectural quality, with the motifs continuing into the stepped upper section of the field. Fine ivory-and-dark geometric guard borders provide a crisp contrast, while wider outer bands of meandering and angular patterns create a richly layered frame.

The restrained natural-looking palette, primitive drawing, and subtle irregularities give this piece tremendous character and authenticity. Its combination of warm earthen tones and graphic tribal pattern makes it particularly appealing for both traditional and contemporary interiors.

The pattern is pretty, and it works where I wanted to put it. But, but, it's very thin and scratchy, and full of a white powder. I expected far better for the price. It is not worth $374.00
