This exquisite vintage Persian Bidjar rug is a remarkable example of the strength and refinement for which Bidjar weavings are celebrated. Handwoven with dense, durable wool, the rug features the characteristic “iron rug” construction of the Bidjar region, known for its tight knotting and exceptional longevity. The field displays a beautiful lattice of small repeating diamond motifs set against a warm red background, creating a rich geometric rhythm that is both traditional and visually captivating.

At the centre, a striking diamond medallion anchors the composition, surrounded by intricate floral details and delicate tribal elements that add depth and movement to the design. The ivory border frames the piece elegantly with stylised floral vines and colourful accents of blue, rose, and deep brown, providing a graceful contrast to the vibrant field.

The balanced pattern, combined with its finely detailed motifs and harmonious palette, gives this rug a timeless character.
