This beautiful vintage Kashan rug shows the refined elegance and balanced design that Kashan carpets are famous for. The rug features a warm salmon-terracotta field that has developed a soft antique patina over time. At the centre is a classic floral medallion with delicate pendants, formed with intricate blossoms and palmettes in deep navy, ivory, and soft sky-blue tones.

Graceful vine scrolls and floral motifs flow around the medallion, creating a symmetrical and harmonious composition typical of traditional Kashan workshop designs. The field is framed by a rich navy blue border filled with repeating floral rosettes and vine patterns, which beautifully contrast with the warm central background. Fine ivory guard borders highlight the detailing and bring balance to the overall composition.

The palette of terracotta, indigo blue, ivory, and pale blue gives the rug a timeless and elegant character. Kashan rugs are known for their central medallion layouts, intricate floral patterns, and precise craftsmanship, qualities that have made them highly admired among collectors and designers for centuries.
