This gorgeous vintage Persian Hamadan runner is handwoven from wool and features a long, narrow format. It is characterised by a vertical sequence of bold hexagonal medallions in rich madder red, each filled with stylised tribal motifs and geometric symbols. The medallions are connected by stepped ivory and deep blue zigzag elements, creating a strong rhythmic flow throughout the field. Additionally, the surrounding area displays subtle abrash and scattered village details. A traditional Hamadan border, adorned with angular floral and vine motifs in ivory, rust, and dark accents, frames the design. The earthy, naturally dyed palette, combined with gentle age-related wear, reflects authentic village craftsmanship and enduring character.
Authentic vintage and antique Persian rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug.
