A beautiful antique double ikat of Sumba, hand woven and dyed in Indonesia.

This masterpiece is made with two different techniques, that's double. Lau Pahikung Hiamba: these are ceremonial skirts composed of two or three panels decorated with a combination of pahikung and ikat hiamba. They are the most complex form of Lau Pahikung, the masterpiece of the Sumba Est textile art, characterized by integrating two very different decorative techniques. The existence of these beautiful objects results from a long alliance between the clans of "Parai Yawang" and "Palai Malamba".

Authentic vintage and antique Ikat textiles are handwoven with cotton. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects.

Our textiles are professionally cleaned.

My Grandmother from Finland's rug comes home

I was overjoyed as was my family in the U.S. to find this long lost rya rug again. We loved it hanging on her farmhouse wall and when she died it somehow was lost to our family. The rug you sent is in perfect condition and the one we all remember. Thank you for your excellent care of the rug and fast shipment from Lahore.
I only wonder when the free cushion with purchase advertised on your website when I made the purchase will be sent. Thank you.

Handsome rug

I’m very pleased with the burgundy wool rug I recently purchased. Well made with an even pile and a handsome pattern, it’s a rug that’s soft underfoot, too.
