This beautiful antique 19th-century French Verdure tapestry cushion is crafted from an authentic tapestry fragment, reflecting the timeless elegance and pastoral charm of classical French textile artistry. The front features a richly detailed Verdure scene, characterised by stylised woodland foliage and organic botanical elements. A gracefully curved tree trunk anchors the composition, surrounded by layered leaves and delicate plant forms rendered in warm golden ochre, muted sage green, deep teal, earthy brown, and soft beige tones. The weaving displays fine craftsmanship, with subtle shading and painterly transitions that create depth and movement, evoking the serene atmosphere of a natural landscape.
