This antique Caucasian Kazak rug is a bold and commanding textile, celebrated for its tribal strength and geometric clarity. The dynamic composition is characteristic of Kazak weaving, characterised by confidence, angularity, and rich saturation.
The field, awash in abrash-dyed reds and oranges, reveals charming irregularities that reflect the artisanal, handwoven nature of the piece. Geometric motifs such as stylised rosettes and elemental latch-hook patterns are scattered throughout, reinforcing the tribal vocabulary.
