This beautiful antique Anatolian rug is a refined example of classical Turkish weaving, distinguished by its elegant prayer design and harmonious palette. The central mihrab (prayer niche) is framed by delicate floral vines and filled with a vertical tree-of-life motif composed of intricate rosettes in rich burgundy, navy, and soft sky blue. Surrounding the field are multiple guard borders, each intricately patterned with stylised blossoms and palmettes in warm terracotta, faded rose, ivory, and muted teal. Handwoven in fine wool, the rug’s symmetry and gentle colour gradation reflect both spiritual symbolism and artisanal mastery. A timeless and culturally rich textile, ideal as a collector’s piece or a graceful accent in a traditional setting.
Authentic vintage and antique Turkish rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and unique.
Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature of these rugs, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects.
Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. Additionally, we recommend using a rug pad with a grippy back to keep your rug in place and smooth out any wrinkles that may have occurred during shipping. A rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug.
