This exquisite Persian Tabriz woollen rug is a masterpiece of classical craftsmanship. Featuring a rich crimson red field adorned with an intricate all-over floral design, the carpet showcases the refined symmetry and elegance characteristic of Tabriz weaving. The floral motifs, gracefully entwined with arabesque vines and stylised palmettes, are rendered in shades of ivory, soft blues, gold, and forest green, creating a vibrant yet balanced palette.

A deep navy border frames the central field, densely populated with rosettes and floral medallions. It is further bordered by delicate ivory and gold guard bands that add depth and definition. The high knot density and precise detailing attest to the expert hand-knotting and the fine quality of the wool used.

Timeless and regal, this Tabriz rug is not only a decorative statement but also a celebration of Persian artistry, ideal for formal living spaces or collectors seeking heritage and sophistication.

Authentic vintage and antique rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and unique.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to the handmade and preloved nature of these rugs, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects.

Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug.

Our rugs are professionally cleaned.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
