This is a magnificent Turkish silk Hereke rug, masterfully crafted by the renowned Ozipek workshop, a name synonymous with some of the finest silk weaving in Turkey. The rug showcases a breathtakingly intricate design centred around a grand floral medallion, radiating outward into delicate tendrils of vines, rosettes, and arabesques, all gracefully woven across a warm ivory field.
The luminous silk pile shimmers under the light, enhancing every detail of the pastel floral motifs and the finely curving latticework. The wide border frames the piece with elegant paisleys, palmettes, and flowing vines in soft rust, gold, and muted green tones, all harmoniously balanced to highlight the central composition.
Every knot speaks of precision and devotion, reflecting the Ozipek family's reputation for producing Hereke rugs of exceptional finesse, to adorn a space and be treasured as heirlooms.
Authentic vintage and antique Turkish rugs are hand-knotted with silk and wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.
Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects.
Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug.
