This vintage pile weave comes from the time of the Scandinavian rugs crossword's greatest glory. These rugs were made over half a century ago, and until today, they remain unspoiled by time due to their extraordinary quality and design.
The vintage carpet was masterly hand executed with the finest wool following traditional and refined weaving techniques, reaching the middle ages.
Its style Rya developed centuries ago in Scandinavia to protect the people, especially the mariners living off the sea, from the severe weather conditions.
Despite historical heritage, the antique bear an exceptionally modern design settled in aesthetic standards of the 50s.

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
