This sublime, extra-long vintage Afghan Chobi woollen runner is known for its traditional craftsmanship and refined design. Hand-knotted using natural wool, it features a deep navy field decorated with a flowing sequence of floral and geometric motifs in soft terracotta, ivory, muted rust, and gentle sage tones. The design runs symmetrically along the entire length, creating a sense of rhythm and balance.

The piece is framed by a classic style border, with repeating rosettes and stylised leaves that subtly contrast the central pattern. Natural tonal variations, known as abrash, add depth and character, reflecting the rug's handmade nature.

Well-suited for hallways, corridors or long, narrow spaces, this runner brings warmth and a touch of Afghan weaving heritage to traditional and contemporary interiors.

Authentic vintage and antique Afghan rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects.

Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and therefore extend the life of your rug.

Our rugs are professionally cleaned.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
