This vintage Persian Shiraz rug is distinguished by its rich tribal character and bold geometric patterns. The rug features three large diamond-shaped medallions running down the centre, each with intricate stepped motifs and delicate floral elements. The field has a warm, earthy tone dominated by soft terracotta and brown shades, scattered with small rosettes, stars, and tribal symbols that add lively texture. The border is framed with a classic Shiraz motif—narrow bands filled with stylised floral and geometric designs. Woven by nomadic or village weavers, this rug showcases the rustic charm, natural dyes, and durable wool typical of Shiraz pieces, reflecting both the artistic heritage and daily life of southern Iran.
