The wide main border is richly decorated with large hooked medallions and star-like figures, adding contrast and framing to the lively field. Handwoven with handspun wool and natural dyes, this Gendje rug embodies the rustic spirit and enduring craftsmanship of 19th-century Caucasian weaving.
