This beautiful Uzbek large medallion Silk Suzani has a fully embroidered medallion that spans the entire field. It showcases a sizeable rotating pinwheel with long spokes resembling a windmill's sails. The focal point of the stunning design is a circular blossom surrounding a wheel motif, outlined in elaborate double hooks and ending in spirals. The vibrant colours and breathtaking composition leave a strong impression.

Authentic vintage and antique Uzbek embroideries are handwoven with pure cocoon silk and natural dyes, making each piece a unique work of art. Our textiles undergo professional restoration, ensuring the fringes are secured and extending their lifespan.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
