$179 $238

Size: 4 x 2.10 ft.

Origin: Afghanistan

Material: Pure Wool

This modern Afghan Anatolian kilim is a radiant handwoven wool flatweave that celebrates the geometric artistry of traditional tribal design. Its central field is arranged with a lattice of diamond medallions, each filled with stepped motifs in earthy yet vivid tones of saffron yellow, terracotta red, sky blue, moss green, ivory, and deep plum. The strong symmetry of the diamond layout creates a rhythmic balance, while the bold terracotta-red border, adorned with small cross-like motifs in contrasting colors, frames the composition with definition and harmony.

Handwoven by Afghan artisans in the Anatolian style, this kilim embodies both durability and cultural richness. Its vibrant palette and timeless geometry make it ideal as a functional floor covering or a decorative textile, infusing warmth, authenticity, and a touch of heritage into any living space.

Authentic, modern, and contemporary Afghani kilims are handwoven with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible.

Our kilims are professionally cleaned.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
