A wonderful antique Persian Herati fish pattern Senneh Kilim is rendered in
fiery tones of rich rust through several shades of terracotta, salmon pink with a touch
of pale yellow and indigo blue. Each circular flower is minutely detailed, with curling decorations linked up with curving fronds and tiny buds. Stunning ivory forms the background of the repeating tessellation, clearly visible through glimpses between the blossom of this gorgeous Senneh.
A series of narrow borders surround the perimeter of this vintage Senneh. The
primary border in pale yellow with traditional Kurdish motifs is encircled by several
outlined edges featuring little flowers with neutral and warm colours. This wondrous Persian Sennah is unique in how it presents a contrast, and the perfect condition, given its age, is eternal bliss.
