Origin: Afghanistan

Material: Pure Wool

This bold and beautiful contemporary Kazak design hallway kilim is a striking, flat-woven piece that celebrates vibrant colours and a strong geometric tradition. The rug features a series of large diamond medallions arranged in a repeating pattern, each filled with stepped motifs in shades of red, turquoise, orange, yellow, lavender, and green. The dynamic palette lends it a lively, modern energy while still honouring the classic Kazak style, rooted in the Caucasian weaving heritage.

The borders are framed with playful wave-like and angular motifs, adding movement and balance to the composition. Handwoven in wool using the traditional flat-weave technique, this kilim is both durable and lightweight, making it ideally suited for hallways, entryways, or narrow spaces. With its radiant colours and bold tribal-inspired design, it makes an eye-catching statement piece that blends cultural tradition with contemporary appeal.

Authentic modern and revival Afghan kilims are handwoven with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible.

Our kilims are professionally cleaned.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
