Hereke carpets were commissioned for the Dolmabahce Palace exclusively, the foremost
the Sultan gathered carpet weavers and the best artists of the former Ottoman Empire. Even today, the master weavers in Hereke are weaving sublime Silk carpets.
This stunning Silk Hereke presents a decorative image of a Bagh placed as the central medallion, a menagerie of exotic animals. Birds drinking in the lake surrounded by Cedar, Sal trees and a wonderful Cabana. The deep blue background and subtle shades of green palmettes affix the opulent flower vases around the periphery until the magnificent burgundy guard border.

Authentic modern and revival Turkish rugs are hand-knotted with silk or wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.
