$487 $650

Size: 6.5 x 5 ft.

Origin: Afghanistan

Material: Pure Wool

This modern Afghan Kazak kilim is a striking handwoven flatweave that radiates tribal vibrancy and timeless craftsmanship. The field is composed of repeating diamond medallions, each filled with stepped geometric motifs in bold hues of crimson, golden yellow, emerald green, turquoise, ivory, and deep charcoal. The arrangement creates a rhythmic lattice of color and form, while the multicolored border featuring angular tribal symbols in warm and cool tones frames the design with strength and harmony.

Woven in pure wool using traditional flatweave techniques, this kilim is both durable and lightweight, making it perfect as a functional rug or a decorative statement piece. Rooted in Kazak tribal heritage but refreshed with a lively modern palette, it brings warmth, energy, and cultural depth to any space. A piece like this effortlessly bridges traditional artistry with contemporary interior style.

Authentic, modern, and contemporary Afghan kilims are handwoven with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible.

Our kilims are professionally cleaned.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
