A magnificent antique Persian Sarouk Farahan rug, bold geometric patterning and intricate floral details fill this superb rug. The centre medallion design boasts a colourful, almost abstract floral arrangement. This arrangement features bright floral blooms and vines that are set against the navy blue background colour of the field of this beautiful Persian rug. From the centre outwards, we see a lovely array of alternating rust-tone coloured floral blossoms of tulips and lotuses and a variety of other majestically designed flowers.

Like the main field, the colourful vines and flowers on the border are set against a classically coloured Yale blue ground, and the edge carries the same overall feel and artistic impact of the field. A beautiful frame surrounds this gorgeous piece, creating balance and order.
