$479 $639

Size: 6.4 x 5 ft.

Origin: Afghanistan

Material: Pure Wool

This modern Afghan Anatolian kilim is a radiant handwoven flatweave that blends bold geometry with a kaleidoscope of color. Its field is structured with a dense lattice of small diamond medallions, each rendered in fiery shades of terracotta, emerald, turquoise, golden yellow, ivory, and deep charcoal. The arrangement creates a dynamic mosaic effect, full of movement and rhythm. The borders echo the tribal spirit with larger geometric motifs in contrasting tones of blue, green, orange, and cream, framing the central design with strength and balance.

Handwoven in wool using traditional flatweave techniques, this kilim is lightweight yet durable, making it both functional and decorative. Drawing inspiration from Anatolian tribal designs but reinterpreted with Afghan craftsmanship, it bridges heritage and modern style perfect for adding warmth, vibrancy, and cultural authenticity to any interior.

Authentic, modern, and contemporary Afghani kilims are handwoven with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible.

Our kilims are professionally cleaned.

It’s 1990 all over again!

In the early 1990’s, my wife I were obsessed with hand woven, vegetable dyed Turkish carpets from Azeri/Woven Legends. We spent so much time at ABC Carpet & Home in NYC, we became good friends with the head rug buyer!! We haven’t purchased a rug in years, but I found a wonderful Woven Legends carpet at Shopvintagerugs and bought myself an early birthday present. The rug was shipped from Pakistan on Monday, made its way to Dubai, then Boston, Memphis and finally arrived to us today. I couldn’t be happier!
