This vintage Persian Ardabil rug showcases the region’s signature balance of geometry and intricate detailing, rendered in a harmonious, earthy palette. At the heart of the design is a grand stepped medallion radiating outwards in shades of soft coral, ivory, and warm cocoa, all layered with delicate floral motifs and latticework.
The surrounding field is adorned with repeating diamond patterns and finely woven rosettes in brown, beige, and hints of green, reflecting Ardabil’s deep weaving heritage. Framed by multiple guard borders, the outermost one features a scrolling vine and floral motif in sage and rust, adding elegance and structure to the design.
Woven with fine wool, this piece exemplifies the precision and symmetry for which Ardabil rugs are known. Its refined colour scheme and meditative composition make it ideal for traditional and transitional interiors alike, an enduring work of Persian artistry and craftsmanship.
Authentic vintage and antique Persian rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and unique.
