This beautiful antique Turkish Konya rug is a stunning example of Anatolian tribal artistry. Woven with a distinctive prayer niche (mihrab) design, it features a central medallion in warm, faded coral-red, framed by a soft ivory outline and surrounded by earthy olive and sage green tones. A stylised tree of life motif rises from the centre, symbolising growth and spiritual connection.
The borders are rich with geometric and botanical patterns in hues of chocolate brown, sky blue, and soft teal, all delicately aged to perfection. The rug's timeworn texture and naturally faded vegetable dyes lend it a soulful, rustic charm, making it not only a collector's piece but also a poetic addition to any vintage-inspired interior.
Authentic vintage and antique Turkish rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.
Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not defects.
Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug.
