This extraordinary fine Persian Mahal design rug has minimal colours to create a gentle contrast between the various contact points. Silky ivory is the unifying backdrop to shades of gold and French grey. The single thick border is surrounded on both sides by thinner outlines, their vibrant depths in direct contrast with the lighter, mellower shades within. Beautiful vines, petals, leaves and floral motifs define the foreground of this lovely piece.
