This lovely antique Caucasian rug is a phenomenal and genuinely archetypal example of regional rugs from the Azerbaijani village of Karakashly. This local variant of the Afshan pattern features burgundy calyces with right-angle bifurcations and pendulous cruciform embellishments. These archetypal motifs are accompanied by a tower of stacked polygons, a Karkashly hallmark. Rosettes, blossoms and geometric birds are featured on the beautiful field. These ancient motifs and local adaptations have rustic sensibilities and refinement ideal for modern interiors.

Authentic vintage and antique Caucasian rugs are hand-knotted with wool. Each one is an exceptional work of art and one of a kind.

Pictures are taken in natural light to portray the most realistic colours possible. Due to these rugs' handmade and preloved nature, slight imperfections and flaws are not considered defects.

Our rugs are professionally restored, and the fringes secured, ensuring many more years of life. In addition, we advise using a rug pad with a grip back to keep your rug in position and to smooth out any wrinkles from shipping. Using a rug pad will also safeguard your carpet from deterioration and, therefore, extend the life of your rug.

Our rugs are professionally cleaned.
