The kilim presents a rich red field as its backdrop, dominated by a central lattice of diamonds enclosing stylised floral rosettes in deep green and black tones, creating a rhythmic and symmetrical layout.

A serrated black border with stepped yellow edges frames the composition, lending definition and contrast to the vivid central motifs. The tight weave, crisp pattern clarity, and strong colour palette are hallmarks of kilims from the Şarköy region, located in European Turkey near the Bulgarian border.
